Overall an excellent hotel. Rooms vary from 800 to 1400 Bht dependant on size and location in the hotel. There is a bar on the ground floor with a 3/4 snooker type pool table. The hotel only has one lift so you can sometimes have a little wait for it to arrive but nothing that would ruin your stay. My 1400Bht room was on the top floor (1 level away from the roof top pool) and was larger than the standard. The breakfast buffett is 90Bht and passable but nothing special however the renowned Sportsman bar and restuarent is opposite the hotel and they do a fantastic brekkie and full menu. The roof top pool is a good size and there is plenty of space around it for sun worshippers, there is a bar and food menu available during the day and the only complaint would be the pool is quite cold and doesn't really warm up during the day. The room was wood panelled, the bed was comfortable (a little on the firm side but this suited me). The bathroom again was fine the only complaint being the water pressure and temperature varies depending on what time you decide to shower (I had no problem with the number or size of the towels). The TV is passable and has the usual western channels (CNN, BBC World, HBO and a couple of sports channels the rest are all Thai). There was a minibar, water costing 15Bht a bottle and soft drinks, beer etc available.
Overall a good standard hotel in a great location. I will be going back however will stick with the standard room as I don't believe the double charge is justified.
